I’ve been trying to think of ideas to make a short film. So far I am basically nowhere.
You see, every successful project that I’ve made was all started with a spark of inspiration. For example, my 2008 demo reel was the result of a brand new computer.

Today I look around my room, I see a camera, an iPad, a tripod and a laptop. Everything i need to make a short film. The problem however, is that my laptop won’t run 3d apps or even compositing softwares properly… This is my missing spark. Do I have to wait for another new machine before the spark ignites the flame in me? Or all I need is something else? Maybe a cupcake? Hmmm…

The new iPad has finally arrived and I’m blogging using the updated WordPress app.

The screen is really good. It seems that I will be very used to using the retina display for a long time….

iTunes is having a really hard time connecting to the iPad. No freaking idea why… I hope the update solves everything… Hopefully. But it will probably not work good.

It’s time to get serious with my photography and everything which i’ve taken time off recently. It’s time to wrap all this shit together again.

Now with a new toy that i am going to add to my vfx arsenal, i am given yet another boost of inspiration.

I hope the days get longer here. The Sun seems to be rising earlier recently but that’s not enough. I need sunlight after 6pm.

I want to eat Singapore food again soon. I miss the wanton mee, the kfc, my mom’s cooking. But i certainly do not miss the humidity. I did not say weather because i really miss the lightning thunderstorms on a nice sleepy weekend.

As you can see now, none of these paragraphs even tie together. That’s my writing style. I type what i am thinking of just this instance.

You may realise that i type the “i” in small letters. That’s because i am too lazy to cap it on my mobile.

Here’s a nice scenery to leave you with. This park is nice. But it could be better if there was a playground for adults.

I’ve decided that i should be maintaining a daily tweet at least of the things that i am having issues with or just what i am thinking at the moment.

I have these thoughts that come in all the time and what other good medium can i do this in with an iphone

So the new ipad will be announced in a few hours and i am excited! I’ve been waiting for this day for 3 years. The first 2 ipads were simply too slow for me. In this age of advances in technology and the sciences, is a vga camera and 500mb ram even relevant? The last time i used a vga camera was in 2004 and it seemed better than my iphone’s front cam surprisingly.

I hope we’ll get better stuff in a few hours time. Meanwhile i am going to enjoy my cup of tea.

Happy Anniversary my dear

My iphone. Yes, i’ve finally found out how to enter blogs from my iphone. Finally. I know this is pretty late but it also means that i can start blogging more often.

Awesome…

Finally after 3-4 months of waiting, I’ve finally landed myself a great job at Double Negative Visual Effects. Seems like the gamble had paid off awesome-ly…

Dneg is really awesome. From machines to infrastructure, its a dream come true for any vfx artist. People there are too friendly and the atmosphere is just great for a fresher like me. There are loads of Bournemouth peeps there too so its very homely. I would really love to say more but I don’t think I can. All that you need to know, is that life is awesome now and I hope it stays that way.

I must really give thanks to all who believed in me, especially my girlfriend. Somehow I’ve got to be thankful for my military experience that came really useful along the way…. seems like 2 years did not completely go to waste in the end..

I am officially a tier 1 post study worker!

Job hunting is really tough, period.

Its been more than a week since the graduation show and still.. nothing. Sadness indeed. Oh well… battlefield 3 is coming soon.. so that’s good news for the time being.

But other than that, WHERE ARE ALL MY INTERVIEWS?!

Its already so tough with a PSW… imagine those without one. Goodness…. and of all the places in the world, why nothing so far from the UK… The Egypt one was awesome.. but haha… Its too dangerous right now so I am not going to risk it just yet, although for one moment in time, I really wanted to become a war photographer (Still considering position after brushing up photography skills.)

Most of my friends now are happily employed.. I am still eating cup noodles. I need some real food SOON! I can’t sit on my bed everyday and play Generals can I? I wake up and sleep at odd hours… I check my emails 2000 times a day and very soon I am going to hear my blanket speak to me.

But hey… that’s just life and I am happy that I am still alive unlike the former dictator in Libya… and I get to read the news every 10 minutes and check on the stock market every now and then. Its almost 4am now and I am going to take a nice hot bath to cool off the winter heat.
